Letters of Clemency from the Chancery of Brittany

This is a corpus of ninety nine letters of clemency recorded into two registers kept at the Chancery of Brittany: B33 (1531) and B34 (1532). These registers have been kept by the archives of the "Chambre des comptes" in Nantes when the Chancery has disappeared.

The corpus is available in three forms:

• HTML to browse the transcription of the letters with the different indexes (check that first);
• SGML/TEI to get the original encoding that follows the conventions of the Text Encoding Initiative;
• ZIP format to download the full corpus along with all the programs to compute the indexes and translations;
• Image format for the registers B33 and B34.
